1. Introduction

These are our General Terms and Conditions. These General Terms and Conditions always apply when you use our Website or place an order through our Website, and they contain important information for you as a buyer. Please read them carefully. We also recommend that you save or print these General Terms and Conditions so that you can consult them at a later time.

2. Definitions

Picture World trademark is owned by Picture World Limited, the hanging company, based in Birmingham and registered with Companies House under company number 09663021.

Website: the Website of Picture World, to be found on www.pictureworld.co.uk and all of its subdomains.

Client: the natural person or corporation acting in the performance of a profession or business who enters into an agreement with Picture World Limited and/or is registered on the Website.

Agreement: any arrangement or agreement between Picture World Limited and the Client of which the General Terms and Conditions are an integral part.

General Terms and Conditions: these Terms and Conditions.

3. Applicability of the General Terms and Conditions

The General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, agreements and deliveries of Picture World Limited unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

If the Clients in their order, confirmation or any other communication alleging acceptance of the General Terms and Provisions includes any provisions that differ from, or are not included in the General Terms and Conditions, such provisions will only be binding upon Picture World Limited if and in so far as Picture World Limited has accepted them in writing.

In cases where specific product or service-related terms and conditions apply in addition to these general terms and conditions, the Client can always invoke the applicable condition
that is most favourable to him/her in the event of incompatible general terms and conditions.

4. Prices and information

Prices posted on the Website and in other materials originating from Picture World® Limited include taxes and other levies for the country you are visiting the website from. That is determined by your IP address. 

Items shipped within the UK are subject to a 20% VAT rate, which means that all relevant taxes and duties will be included in the final purchase price (UK billing address).

Non-UK orders are not charged a UK VAT tax (NON-UK billing address) but may be subject to VAT and customs duties in the destination country either before delivery or once the package reaches its destination. The Client will be responsible for the payment of such import duties and taxes.

The tax due is determined by the billing address (country of residency).

Picture World Limited is not responsible for any changes in currency value or conversion rates that your bank or credit card company may use when charging in your country’s currency.

Please contact your local customs office for more information if you have any further questions regarding VAT and customer duties.

If shipping costs are charged, these will be clearly stated in good time before the contract is concluded. These costs will also be displayed separately in the ordering process.

The content of the website is composed with the greatest care. Picture World Limited cannot, however, guarantee that all information on the website is correct and complete at all times. All prices and other information posted on the Website and in other materials originating from Picture World Limited are subject to obvious programming and typing errors.

Picture World Limited cannot be held responsible for deviations in colour that result from the quality of the colours displayed on the screen.

7. Execution of the Agreement

As soon as Picture World Limited has received the order, it will send the products to the Client without delay and with due regard to the provisions of paragraph 3 of this article.

Picture World Limited is authorised to engage third parties in the fulfilment of its obligations under the Agreement.

Well ahead of the date on which the Agreement is signed, information will be posted on the Website which clearly describes the manner in which and the term within which the products will be delivered.

If no delivery term has been agreed or stated, the products will be delivered within 30 days at the latest.

If Picture World Limited is unable to deliver the products within the agreed term, it will notify the Client accordingly. In that case, the Client can decide either to agree to a new delivery date or to dissolve the Agreement without incurring any costs.

Picture World Limited advises the Client to inspect the products upon delivery and to report any defects within an appropriate period, preferably in writing or by email. For further details, see the article about guarantee and conformity.

The risks associated with the products will transfer to the Client as soon as the products are delivered at the agreed delivery address.

If the ordered product can no longer be supplied, Picture World Limited is entitled to deliver a product which is comparable in nature and quality to the ordered product. In that case, the Client will have the right to dissolve the Agreement without incurring any costs and to return the product free of charge.

What is Picture World’s return policy?

All purchases we offer are covered by an extended 30-day returns policy. ARTITEQ designs high-quality hanging products to help you display your artwork pieces, canvas, photos and other items. If they’re not working exactly right for you, we’ve got you covered. Shop on Picture World Hanging Store knowing that you can return items (some exceptions apply) for any reason within those 30 days. The customer must cover the cost of returning products if they change their mind or ordered incorrect products.

If products provided by Picture World are damaged or defective, or incorrect products have been shipped (not what was ordered by the customer), Picture World will cover the cost of returning of those products unless it is not financially feasible to do so (e..g the return cost is higher then the product value).  

In what condition must the returned items be?

Please note that your items must be in original condition to be able to return them. All items will be inspected on arrival. We reserve the right to offer partial or no refund for items not returned in original condition.

How do I return items purchased at Picture World store?

If you haven’t used/installed your items, the easiest way to return your purchased items is to post them back to us. Please contact us before returning items to obtain a return reference number. The address for returns is:

What about defective or flawed items?

We stand behind all of ARTITEQ products. If your item is defective or faulty and it’s been less than 30 days since your purchase, simply contact us so that we can arrange a replacement for you.

Returns via own courier

It is also possible to return your order using the courier service of your choice. We advise that you enclose the returns form within the parcel and use the original packaging as far as possible. You should send the parcel to the address below:

Conditions for returns

The withdrawal period elapses 30 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the transporter, received the product. If you have ordered various goods with different delivery times in one order, the withdrawal time elapses 14 days following the day on which you have received the last product or component.

You can return the ordered item(s) easily, but not exchange these. If you return an item or request that the contract is cancelled you will always receive the refunded amount within 14 working days. If you have seen another product that you would rather have instead, please place a new order.

If you return the order completely you will receive all payments, including any delivery costs for shipment, within 14 days. We will repay you using the same payment method with which you paid originally unless you agree on an alternative method with us.
