Gone are the days of hammering holes and patching drywall just to hang a picture. Self-adhesive hangers, also called ARTITEQ Dibond Hangers, offer a damage-free and convenient way to decorate your walls. Whether you’re a renter or simply hate putting holes in your walls, these hangers are a lifesaver. Here is how to use self-adhesive hangers to hang your pictures and artwork.

What You Need

Self-adhesive hangers (weight capacity suitable for your artwork)
– Rubbing alcohol
– Pencil
– Spirit Level
– Your favourite artwork!

Step 1: Prep the Wall

For the adhesive to form a strong bond, you’ll want a clean and dry surface. Wipe down the area on your wall where you plan to hang the artwork with rubbing alcohol. Avoid using any harsh cleaners or water, as they can leave residue that affects adhesion.

Step 2: Measure and Mark

While optional, using a level and pencil to mark the spot where you want the centre of the bottom edge of your artwork to hang can ensure a straight placement. This is especially helpful for hanging multiple pictures in a gallery style.

Step 3: Attach the Hangers to Your Frames

– Refer to the weight capacity of your chosen hangers and ensure they can support your artwork.
– Remove a liner from the hanger and firmly press the adhesive side onto the back of the frame.
– The placement of the hanger typically depends on the frame and weight of the artwork.

Some packages recommend placing them at the top third of the frame, while others suggest a lower placement (consult the instructions for specifics).

Step 4: Apply Pressure and Reinforce the Bond

Once the hanger is attached to the frame, press the frame firmly against the artwork for 30 seconds. The maximum strength is reached usually within 24 hours. Here’s a helpful tip. Reinforce the bond by placing some weight on each hanger and leave it on for at least 6 hours.

Step 5: Hang and Enjoy!

Carefully hang your artwork on the wall, aligning it with your markings (if used).
For heavier pictures, wait an hour before hanging them to allow the adhesive to fully cure.

With self-adhesive hangers, decorating your walls becomes a breeze. No more worrying about damage or crooked pictures. So go forth, unleash your inner interior designer, and create a beautiful, personalized space!
