The Boston Z Bar system allows you to hang heavy picture frames, artwork and mirrors. It is also excellent for fixings TVs, cabinets, and cupboards to the wall. METALCITI systems are made from high-quality aluminium, so it’s durable and reliable. It has an innovative Z-shaped design. That helps simplify the installation process. It also offers a secure grip between the rails. Boston profile is great for interior installations. In terms of size, it has a 6mm projection (depth) and a 9mm lift-off (interlock).

Installation – please read

You can use two rails of the same length to get a perfectly balanced and uniform hold for a standard item. Alternatively, you can use two or more rails of different lengths to securely fit and balance unusual or custom-sized items. This flexible approach makes it easy to get a secure fit for all kinds of frames, mirrors, or panels, regardless of their unique size.

Examples

These are just examples of how you could combine the lengths; they are not a list of what you will receive. You can mix and match rails of different lengths as you like, such as one 600mm rail on the wall and three 50mm rails on the item, or a 900mm rail on the wall with a 900mm rail on the item, or a 1200mm rail on the wall and two 300mm rails on the item. The only requirement is that all pieces must be the same profile (e.g., Boston MF375).

Maximum capacity

Please note this is the maximum weight the rails can take, not the wall or fixings (screws, plugs). In most cases fixings will let go before the rails fail. Therefore when hanging heavy items, please ensure that fixings and the wall itself can support the weight of your item (mirror, picture, artwork etc).
