How to Install the Deco Rail (Behind Coving / Cornice)

The Deco Rail is designed for installation during room renovation or redecoration before ceiling coving is fitted.

1. Prepare the Installation Line: Use a spirit level or cross-line laser to mark a straight horizontal line along the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling. Ensure the surface is clean and dust-free.
2. Drill Wall Fixing Positions: Mark hole positions along your line spaced at ~40 cm intervals. Drill 6 mm holes and insert the supplied FISCHER DuoPower wall plugs.
3. Mount the Track: Align the aluminium Deco Rail against the wall plugs and tighten the provided screws securely until the rail sits flush and level.
4. Apply Adhesive & Fit Coving: Apply a continuous bead of high-tack coving adhesive directly onto the front face of the Deco Rail profile and the top edge of your coving. Press the coving firmly against the Deco Rail and ceiling, ensuring the bottom lip leaves a subtle gap underneath for wire insertion. Clean off any excess adhesive.
5. Paint & Insert Wires: Allow the adhesive to cure fully, then paint your coving to match your decor. Insert Twister Perlon or Steel Wires into the bottom slot, twist 90° to lock into place, slide on your preferred hooks, and hang your artwork.
