The Boston Z-Bar system is fully modular. Because the interlocking profile is consistent across the entire Boston range, you can combine different lengths to suit your exact display requirements:

• Matching Pair (300 mm): Use two 300 mm rails (one mounted facing up on the wall, one facing down on your item) for standard-width frames and mirrors.
• Mix & Match (Short Cleats + Long Wall Rail): Mount a longer Boston rail (e.g., 900 mm or 2000 mm) on the wall and fix two 300 mm cleats to the upper back corners of a wide frame or cabinet to simplify levelling and reduce material costs.

Important Load Capacity & Wall Fixing Guidance

Weight ratings apply strictly to the structural limit of the extruded aluminium rails. In practice, wall anchors and fixings (screws, wall plugs, masonry anchors) almost always fail before the aluminium track. Always ensure your chosen wall plugs, screws, and substrate are rated to support the total weight of your item.

How to Install the Boston 300 mm Z Bar

1. Fix Wall Rail: Secure the rail to your wall through the 3 pre-drilled slotted holes using suitable wall plugs and screws. Ensure the open Z-channel faces UP towards the ceiling and is level.
2. Fix Item Rail: Secure a second Boston rail to the upper rear edge of your frame or panel with the open Z-channel facing DOWN.
3. Interlock & Hang: Lift your item slightly above the wall rail and lower it into place so the two Z-profiles interlock securely.
